invaginate: to put in a sheath; to turn or double back within itself; to introvert (oed.com)

This is the word that describes my process right now. Between my dreams, my writing and my inner musings, I invaginate daily. It's not the most comfortable feeling, but I hear that you forget the pain of birth when you see the miracle that is your child...
